My &#8220;First Steps Baby Quilt&#8221; pattern is now available for instant download in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/listing\/1150206490\/baby-quilt-pattern-easy-and-quick-quilt?click_key=1cc656075075e0df5b86887bb3b27d290682266e%3A1150206490&amp;click_sum=afdd43b1&amp;ref=shop_home_active_3\" title=\"my etsy shop\">my etsy shop<\/a>. It is beginner friendly and a quick make. It&#8217;s a nice size for a baby quilt with the finished quilt top measuring approximately 40&#8243;x40&#8243;. I decided to add the baby&#8217;s name to the quilt, and I wanted a specific section for that. I also was feeling the need to design something new for this one. I already had some impulse buy fabric that was perfect for a quilt for a sweet baby boy. I started by sketching up the design on graph paper with the center section designed specifically for adding his name. Once I had my sketch, I calculated the sizes for the pieces and the yardage I needed so that I could be sure I had enough fabric. I even wrote down which pieces to cut from each strip of fabric. After all of that, I pretty much had the pattern finished as far as the math, and it seemed wasteful to NOT write a pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I hope you&#8217;ll check out my pattern.
