I hosted my first quilt along, my Checker Cakes Quilt back in July. I’m so thankful for everyone who joined me! During the quilt along, we made the quilt tops. I got to see lots of great progress pictures and quilt top pictures through the quilt along. I featured some of these progress pictures in my Week 6 post from the quilt along. After all, quilt alongers are pretty much the most important part of a quilt along. So, I decided to feature some of my quilt alongers again with some pictures of the completed Checker Cakes Quilts. This post is another one with lots of pictures. You can also check out my post from last week where I revealed my two completed quilts from the quilt along. This one is another one of those posts that’s heavy on pictures for those who like to look at quilts.
Brenda’s Quilt
So much scrappy goodness in this quilt by @brentex99! She used the scraps from her top in a pretty scrappy binding and to piece a cool scrappy back. I love scrap quilts!
Carrie’s Quilt
Carrie @bakerquilts2 made this super cute baby quilt in soothing blues. Check out those fussy cut butterflies and the pretty pieced back!
Dee Ann’s Quilt
I’m loving the purples and greens with the dreamy off white background in this pretty quilt by @deeannsagor. Dee Ann made great use of her leftover squares by piecing them into the back. It looks like her cat approves!
Laura’s Quilt
So many pretty batiks in this quilt by @laurasublettegree! I love that purple binding secured with the decorative top stitch!
These ladies all did a GREAT job on their quilts!
My next quilt along
I have another quilt along coming up this month. It starts October 23. We’ll be using my Sound Waves Baby Quilt pattern. It’s quick and easy. One of the main reasons I chose this one is becuase the top goes together so quickly. This will give me a little more time to devote some posts to helping you finish your quilt. You can sign up for this quilt along here. I’d love to have you join me in this one too!
Check out this most recent quilt top I made from this pattern. I made it to get a few quilt in the wild shots here and there leading up to the quilt along. All of the others I previously made are at their forever homes. So, I needed to make another one. I will also be making one with you during the quilt along.
That’s all I’ve got for today
