Nine Carat Quilt Along: Week 3

It’s Week 3 of our Nine Carat Quilt Along! I am SEW glad you are here! If you haven’t got your pattern yet, you can get the digital pattern from Cut Loose Press or the paper paper pattern from QBPN. If you’re joining us late, you can still sign up as long as the quilt along is still going.

Snowballs

On the Schedule for this Week

This week we’re going to add our snowballs. When we start sewing our quilt tops together these will form the secondary diamonds that I got the “Carat” part of the pattern name from.

Snowballs are one of my favorite design elements. I use them a lot. Four out of my five patterns I currently have with Cut Loose Press use snowballs (Nine Carat Quilt, Crosshairs Quilt, Northstar Ninjas, Almost Time). Now that I’m writing this it makes me curious about how many of my other patterns use snowballs…
